How to schedule a LinkedIn post and find scheduled posts
Schedule a LinkedIn post from your profile or a company Page, on desktop or phone, then find, edit or delete it before it goes out.

Launch posts tend to be due when you are busy with the launch. Scheduling them a few days early means the announcement goes out on time, even if you are on a call or fixing a bug when it does.
LinkedIn can schedule posts without any extra tool. This guide covers your own profile and a company Page, on desktop and on the phone app, and where the scheduled posts are kept afterwards. Steps were last checked on 1 October 2026.
Schedule a post from your profile
On desktop:
- On your LinkedIn home page, click Start a post.
- Write the post, and add any images or a video.
- Click the clock icon at the bottom of the post window.
- Pick a date and a time, then click Next.
- Check the preview and click Schedule.
On the phone app:
- Tap Post in the bottom bar.
- Write the post.
- Tap the clock icon at the top right.
- Pick a date and a time, then tap Next.
- Tap Schedule at the top right.
The time you pick must be at least 10 minutes and at most 3 months away. LinkedIn uses your device's time zone, so if you are planning a launch for another region, convert the time first. Events, jobs and service posts can't be scheduled.
Find your scheduled posts
Scheduled posts don't show on your profile until they go out. To see them:
- Click Start a post, as if you were writing a new one.
- Click the clock icon.
- Click View all scheduled posts.
On the phone app, tap Post, tap the clock icon, then tap View all.
The list shows every post you have scheduled, with its date and time. Click one to see the full post.
Edit, reschedule or delete a scheduled post
From the scheduled posts list:
- To change the time, click the More icon (three dots) on the post, then Modify schedule.
- To change the text or images, click the More icon, then Edit post.
- To cancel it, click the Delete icon on the post, then Delete to confirm.
Schedule a post from a company Page
If your launch post should come from the company, schedule it on the Page instead. You need to be a super admin or a content admin of the Page.
- Open your Page's admin view.
- Choose Page posts in the left menu, then click Start a post.
- Click the scheduling icon at the bottom right of the post window.
- Pick a date and a time, then click Next.
- Finish the post and click Schedule.
Page posts follow slightly different rules from profile posts:
- The time must be between 1 hour and 3 months away.
- You can type an exact time instead of picking a 30-minute slot.
- Events, polls, reshares, jobs, service posts and posts with several photos can't be scheduled.
- You can't promote a scheduled post as an ad until it has gone out.
Plan the posts around your launch
A launch is rarely one post. A common pattern is a teaser a week before, the announcement on launch day, and a follow-up a few days later with first results or customer reactions. Schedule each one as soon as its text is ready, then check the scheduled posts list the day before launch to make sure the times and links are right.
Keep the posting dates next to the rest of the launch plan, so nobody moves the launch and forgets the post. Plainrival Timeline is a free launch planner for this: a calendar, one dated checklist per day and a progress bar for each phase of the launch. Add "Schedule LinkedIn announcement" to the day you write it and "Check scheduled posts" to the day before launch.
